First console inventor calls violent games a “disgrace”
Ralph Baer, who invented the first home console in 1972, isn’t happy with the direction of some modern games.

Museum dedicated to the history of electronic games opens

A museum dedicated to the history of electronic games opened today inside the Strong National Museum of Play.
It’s “the only museum anywhere devoted solely to the study and interpretation of play,” apparently.
The museum houses 15,000 game-related items, every major console since the Magnavox Odyssey and some are even playable. How many of you can say you had one of those?
An exhibit called “Videotopia” runs from May 30 – November 1 showcasing arcade games.
