Mad Max gameplay will be revealed on Monday, July 15, according to a posting on Facebook and Twitter from Avalanche Studios. The game was finally revealed during E3, but this will be the first time we’ll get to see actual gameplay. It’s something to mark on your calendar at any rate. Mad Max releases on PC, PS3, PS4, Xbox 360 and Xbox One in 2014.

Avalanche Studios Christofer Sundberg has tweeted a teaser image of a game in development at the firm. You can have a look at it through the link. Last week, it was rumored that Avalanche was working on Just Cause 3 and Mad Max for next-gen, and if we were to guess, that screen looks rather Mad Max-ish to us. Then again, it could be anything. In 2010, God of War’s Cory Barlog was reportedly working on the Mad Max title at Avalanche, but as of last year, Barlog is now working at Crystal Dynamics.

Just Cause developer Avalanche Studios is believed to be working on a new entry in the sandbox action series, as well as a Mad Max game. Industry sleuth Superannuation pulls all the pieces together, noting that Avalanche CEO Christofer Sundberg suggested recently that Avalanche is developing games exclusively for nest-generation platforms now.
