Lumines developer asks fans to demand Vita DLC
The Lumines Electronic Symphony Facebook Page has asked players to indicate their interest in a potential DLC pack for the popular Vita title. Q Entertainment is quite clear that there are no plans for DLC at the moment, but hopes enough interest will inspire Ubisoft to greenlight a content drop – maybe even a remix of classic track Shinin’. Go forth and click Like.
Thanks, Joystiq.

Lumines Electronic Symphony was almost Daft Punk themed
The unwieldy Electronic Symphony subtitle of the recently-released Vita version of Lumines was very nearly something much snappier.

US Vita launch: Gravity Rush day one, Ubisoft titles to be pre-released
In a media blast regarding its action RPG Dungeon Hunter: Alliance, Ubisoft has announced it intends to push all its Vita releases out by February 14, a week in advance of the console itself. The decision will make all Ubisoft’s launch titles available to those who receive their console a week early as part of a US-only advance sales scheme. Early adopters look forward to Rayman Origins, Lumines, Michael Jackson: The Experience and Asphalt Injection.
Additionally, Gravity Rush, the gorgeous-looking adventure, is now officially expected on February 22.
Thanks, Siliconera – twice.

Sound Shapes preview name-checks Child of Eden, Rez, Lumines
Could Sound Shapes be the next Lumines? They’re both deceptively simple, stylish games, both combining audio, video and gameplay in ways we haven’t necessarily seen before, and they’re both for Sony handhelds.

Lumines being kept off PSN by licensing issues
Lumines won’t be making it to PSN any time soon. Developer Q Games said yesterday on its Twitter feed that licensing issues have created a sticky online wicket for the rhythm-action classic.
“We would love to bring Lumines/Lumines II to the PSN store,” said the company, “but there are complications, music licensing, was published by Namco, etc.”
There was a foll-up, however: “That said, we’re obviously looking into it.
”
Hold onto the dream, weird coloured block fans.
