Guardians of Middle-earth has a new set of shots and a couple of gameplay videos available. Below the break you can have a look at Hildifons, a “resourceful Hobbit who can kindle fires and create explosions from almost nothing,” and then, there’s the embodiment of himself, Sauron. Players can also play in the game as Aragorn’s father, Arathorn and there’s also Runsig as well. The Lord of the Rings MOBA is slated for a northern fall release on PS3 and Xbox 360. As if Gimli wasn’t already adorable, the latest LEGO: Lord of the Rings screenshots prove that he can be even more so – even when trying to look formidable. But if prissy blonde elves are more to your taste, there’s one of Legolas skipping through the snow of the Misty Mountains, and for those who like a bit of grit – there’s one of Frodo, Sam, and Gollum in Mordor. There’s also a couple of Gollum shots as well. LEGO: Lord of the Rings arrives on 3DS, DS, PC, PS3, Wii and Xbox 360 and Vita in October.

Warner and Snowblind Studios have released a new vignette for The Lord of the Rings: War in the North, and it features one my biggest nemesis: wights. Yes, you will fight orcs in the game along with trolls and massive spiders, but a Barrow-wight is more apt to piss you off than even a warg. But I am speaking of experience with LOTRO – in the video, you will become acquainted with the Barrow-wight Lord in WitN, whose army of the dead have taken over a Ranger burial ground. He uses magic and “minions most foul” to spread the rule of evil across the darkness and can use his powers to pit man against man. Watch it for yourself below, courtesy of TheOneRing, and see for yourself. War in the North is out on November 1.
