Warner launches bargaintastic Steam bundle, features Arkham City
You can’t really miss out on this. The Steam sale may have begun last night, but Warner’s gone into bargain mode, releasing a bundle that includes both Batman Arkham games – Asylum and City with all of its DLC – plus Lord of the Rings: War in the North, Bastion, all three FEAR games and expansions, LEGO Batman and Harry Potter Years 1-4 and Watchmen: The End is Nigh. If you want to look at it another way, you’re paying £40 for Arkham City and getting everything else free. Sound good? Go get it here.

War in the North vignette introduces the Wight Lord of the Barrow-downs
Warner and Snowblind Studios have released a new vignette for The Lord of the Rings: War in the North, and it features one my biggest nemesis: wights. Yes, you will fight orcs in the game along with trolls and massive spiders, but a Barrow-wight is more apt to piss you off than even a warg. But I am speaking of experience with LOTRO – in the video, you will become acquainted with the Barrow-wight Lord in WitN, whose army of the dead have taken over a Ranger burial ground. He uses magic and “minions most foul” to spread the rule of evil across the darkness and can use his powers to pit man against man. Snowblind “drawing as much” inspiration from Lord of the Rings films for War in the North’s scale
Snowblind has said that the scale in Lord of the Rings: War in the North has been inspired by the scale seen in the Peter Jackson films from a few years ago.

Lord of the Rings: War in the North to launch in November
Warner’s confirmed release dates for Lord of the Rings: War in the North which will launch in the US on November 1, Australia November 2, and in Europe on November 4. The Snowblind action-RPG, is the spirtual successor to Baldurs Gate: Dark Alliance, according to the firm. We had a chat with Snowblind on the game yesterday. Watch for quotes from 4pm.
