Turbine has released three new screens from LOTRO’s September expansion, Rise of Isengard, and each shows off camps and a bit of the landscape of Rohan as well as Edoras, the seat of King Theoden. It’s out on September 27. Muster the Rohirrim. Now is the hour. Riders of Rohan, oaths you have taken, now fulfill them all, to lord and land (insert squee noise here from the author of this post).

Turbine to launch Rise of Isengard beta on July 27
Turbine has announced the beta for its new Lord of the Rings Online content, Rise of Isengard, will open up on July 27. The beta program is is Invite-only, and those in North America and Europe can pre-purchase Rise of Isengard to receive special benefits including preferred access to the program. Quick Shots: Rise of Isengard goes to Dunland
Turbine has releases some screens from the LotRO fall expansion, Rise of Isengard, showing off the area of Dunland located in the foothills of the southern Misty Mountains. It is infested with Dunland Clans, rugged warriors tempted by “the dark promise of power,” and probably other stuff you will want to slash with your sword more than once. Rise of Isengard launches on September 27, which we think of as a very nice birthday present from Turbine. [art]
