GAME CEO Martyn Gibbs will provide the opening keynote for the 2013 London Games Conference in November. Event organizers have also announced Ukie’s CEO Jo Twist has joined the speaker line-up.

Microsoft Game Studios is now a “multi-format” studio, according to VP of Interactive Entertainment Business Phil Harrison, who said the firm has more competitors in the marketplace now, than just rival console makers.
Phil Harrison, Microsoft’s VP of its European Interactive Entertainment Business unit, will provide the opening keynote at the London Games Conference next month.
Intent’s announced this morning that Feargel Sharkey – ex-Undertones frontman, now head of UK Music – will deliver an address at the London Games Festival. Sharkey will speech on how lessons from the music industry can be applied to the games industry. The address will happen at the one-day event on November 10.
According to discussions set to take place during this month’s London Games Conference, with digital distribution “poised to outstrip traditional retail sales within three years,” 40 percent of the games industry is underprepared for the shift.
