Tri Synergy has confirmed that it is to “discontinue distribution of Limbo of the Lost in both retail and online outlets” after the game was shown to bear striking similarities to Bethesda RPG, Oblivion.
“We have contacted the developer, Majestic, and are anxiously awaiting their response,” the firm said in a press release. “As soon as we know more on this matter we will issue another statement.”

According to this Blue’s News story regarding some striking similarities between point and click adventure Limbo of the Lost and Bethesda’s Oblivion, TriSynergy – publisher of the former – had no idea about any of this and is expecting to release a statement on the matter shortly.
“TriSynergy says they are just as shocked as everyone else at the screenshots showing elements from other games in Limbo of the Lost, saying they had absolutely no knowledge of this situation until it was uncovered by the gaming press,” said the piece.

As you can see here, GamesPlasma reckons point and click adventure Limbo of the Lost looks more than a little like Bethesda’s Oblivion. Like, a lot like it.
So much like it, in fact, that the similarities are more than a little “suspicious”. This Strategy Informer story reckons Bethesda legal’s looking into it.
