Professor Layton vs Ace Attorney launch trailer inspires wave of immigration
Professor Layton vs Ace Attorney ticks so many of my boxes I’ve had to print out a whole new extra form for it to keep filling. The Level-5 and Capcom crossover hits 3DS in Japan tomorrow but has not been confirmed for western release, to my unceasing distress. Watch the launch trailer through the break and see if you aren’t inspired to finally pack up your things, vow to learn kanji, and move to the homeland of such delights.

Professor Layton Vs Phoenix Wright has received a new trailer from Level-5 and Capcom. The 3DS crossover is out in Japan on November 29th and sees both Layton and Wright cast back in time to the era of witch hunts. The new clip features puzzles, court room battles and more. Check it out below.

Fantasy Life video released by Level-5, Brownie-Brown
Fantasy Life has been given a new trailer by Level-5 and Brownie-Brown. It’s the first look we’ve had at the game since September, when it debuted at TGS. Fantasy Life is out in Japan on December 27 for 3DS. Whether it will release in the west is not known at this time. Thanks, Gematsu.

Next Guild01 release is Aero Porter, due this month
Aero Porter, the next game from Level-5′s Guild01 compilation, hits the 3DS eShop on November 29. Siliconera reports the baggage handling game will go for $5. It was designed by Seaman creator Yoot Saito, and in original Japanese compilation form, released alongside Yasumi Matsuno’s Crimson Shroud (coming soon), Giochi Suda’s Liberation Maiden (available now), and reverse RPG sim Omasse’s Rental Weapon Shop, which is not yet expected to release internationally.

Yasumi Matsuno says he didn’t depart Level-5 over health issues
Crimson Shroud developer and former Square Enix developer Yasumi Matsuno has taken to Twitter to alleviate fan’s fears that health issues were behind his departure from Level-5. According to Matsuno, he is “in perfect health,” and is “just taking a little time to recharge before my next project.” Concerns over returning health issues seems to prevail on the Internet after his departure was announced earlier this week. It was assumed the same health issues which caused him to leave Square Enix in 2005 had returned. Thankfully, that is not the case. Via Siliconera.

Liberation Maiden, Crimson Shroud, Aero Porter – short video shows gameplay
A video featuring a short look at Liberation Maiden, Crimson Shroud, and Aero Porter has been released by Nintendo. The video provides small gameplay clips from the three 3DS eShop titles. Liberation Maiden, from Suda 51, is already out in Europe and is heading to the US as are the other two titles. The games were created in partnership with Level-5 through the Guild01 compilation for Nintendo 3DS, and a follow-up called Guild02 was announced in May 24, and will include designers Keiji Inafune, Kazuya Asano, Takemaru Abiko and Kaz Ayabe.
