Schafer: Lemmy “invited me to his house”

lemmy

Lemmy is probably one of the most awesome people to have ever lived. He’s seriously fucking awesome. Having him in Brutal Legend instantly makes the game more awesome to the power of ten. But what, Tim-Schafer-talking-to-VG247-at-E3, was Lemmy like to work with?

“Lemmy was a really mellow guy, a really quiet guy,” Schafer told us. “He was really friendly, actually. He invited me to his house. I got to see his collection of knives.

“He’s a really friendly guy. He lives in West Hollywood. He likes to go to the Rainbow Rooms and chat to his fans, stuff like that. He’s a very down to earth guy.

And Lemmy has stories. Stories of ultimate rock.

“He’s got all these great stories,” Schafer added. “You know, he used to be a roadie himself, for Jimi Hendrix. He’s really lived life, you know what I’m saying?”

We do, Tim. We know what you’re saying. Brutal Legend, officially now the most awesome videogame this year, releases this October.

Concept Art from Brutal Legend looks a lot like Lemmy

brutallegend

Double Fine has released some concept art for Brutal Legend.

You’ll notice that the main character originally looked a lot like Lemmy instead of Jack Black.

Either one would have been fine we reckon, but Lemmy is a whole lot scarier.

Check them out here.

Guitar Hero Metallica trailers: Lemmy, King Diamond in action

guitarherometallicalemmy

Activision has put out two new trailers for Guitar Hero: Metallica, both of which are posted after the break.

Finally, we get to see King Diamond in action, as well Lemmy von Motorhead.

Well if we’re being honest, Lemmy isn’t really in action, just kinda standing there playing like usual. Without the prerequisite cigarette dangling from his mouth.

Game’s out March 20.

lemmya

Motorhead frontman Lemmy’s to appear in Guitar Hero: Metallica, as you can see on Metallica’s website.

That’s it. But it’s Lemmy, so good news. Metallica’s promising another character reveal soon, so keep an eye out for that. Probably Kylie, or something.

Game’s out March 20 for PS3, Wii and Xbox 360, in the US at least. The PS2 version is expected to land May 1.
