California senator Yee: gamers have “no credibility” in violent media argument
California state senator Leland Yee , who tried to pass a bill banning the sale of violent video games to children – a move blocked by the US Supreme Court in 2011 – is back in the news, adding his two cents to President Obama’s decision to have the CDC study whether there’s a ink between violent media and gun violence.
After various sites reported on his comments, Yee took to Twitter to admit he “didn’t use the best words” to covey his opinion on the matter.

SCOTUS violent games bill ruling expected next week
Back in November 2010, the US Supreme Court Justices weighed in on the videogame violence bill written by California state Senator Leland Yee which was supported by the state’s former-governor Arnold Schwarzenegger.
The case is to be ruled on by the end of June, so sometime by the end of next week, we should know something regarding whether or not California will be able to legally limit the sale of what it considers violent video games to minors or not. We’ll keep you posted. Via MTV. [pic]

US Supreme Court takes Schwarzenegger bill into consideration, ruling expected by June

Supreme Court Justices weighed in on the videogame violence bill written by California state Senator Leland Yee and supported by the state’s governor Arnold Schwarzenegger, and if you look over the transcripts, it honestly doesn’t look like the bill sits well with the justices based on its vagueness, yet it still allowed the case to be submitted for consideration.

Yee: ESRB issuing game ratings is like a “fox guarding the henhouse”
