Lego Lord of the Rings arrives for OS-X on February 21, according to Gamespot. The adorable take on Tolkien hit PC, consoles and handhelds late last year and scored some decent reviews for its effort. The single release spans the whole film trilogy and uses dialogue taken straight from the movies. The Mac version was developed by Feral Interactive, which regularly handles ports for series developer Traveller’s Tales.

LEGO Lord of the Rings is coming to the UK from November 23rd, and Warner Bros. has just fired across a batch of new gameplay and cinematic screens, showing the Fellowship trudging through snow, fighting creatures and more. LEGO The Lord of the Rings is out today for Vita, DS, and 3DS, with console and PC editions coming on November 13 in North America. Up until now, there hadn’t been any word on a specific date for those in UK, but today Warner has announced that the Middle-earth adventure will arrive there on November 23.

As if Gimli wasn’t already adorable, the latest LEGO: Lord of the Rings screenshots prove that he can be even more so – even when trying to look formidable. But if prissy blonde elves are more to your taste, there’s one of Legolas skipping through the snow of the Misty Mountains, and for those who like a bit of grit – there’s one of Frodo, Sam, and Gollum in Mordor. Warner Bros. has announced its gamescom will include two announcements regarding “new games”, one of which will be a “major release”. Nice. The games coming along in the firm’s pack to the event will include: Batman Arkham City: Armoured Edition, Injustice: Gods Among Us, LEGO: Lord of the Rings, Lord of the Rings Online, and Guardians of Middle-Earth. gamescom takes place August 15 – 19 in Cologne, Germany. It seems the world will never tire of having cultural icons rendered in too-cute digital LEGO blocks and judging by these shots of LEGO The Lord of the Rings from Kotaku, nor should it. While the hobbits look a little like The Beatles (if you squint), Gandalf, Gimli and co look suitably adorable-cum-cool. Hit the break for the heroic half dozen.

MCV‘s reporting the new LEGO Lord of the Rings set features confirmation that a tie-in game is on the way. Blurry images taken of review sets show logos for both Warner and developer Travellers Tales. TT’s main efforts as late has been the LEGO games, including Harry Potter, Pirates of the Caribbean, Star Wars and Batman. A sequel for the latter arrives this summer.
