Warner and TT Games have announced LEGO Batman 2: DC Super Heroes will be released on Wii U. The game has sold 3.4 million units since its 2012 release, and has been enhanced for Wii U with an interactive map and character selection tools using the GamePad’s touchscreen. Tge game can also be played using off-TV mode, or through single-screen co-op. LEGO Batman 2: DC Super Heroes will launch on the console in the spring.

Expand your Lego Batman 2: DC Heroes roster with a couple of DLC packs added to the PlayStation Network and Xbox Live today. The Heroes pack features Nightwing, Katana, Shazam, Zatanna and Bruce Wayne’s son, Damian Wayne, in his new role as Robin. The Villains pack adds Bizzaro, Captain Cold, Black Adam, Black Manta and Gorilla Grodd. The new characters are available in Freeplay mode. Lego Batman 2 sat at the top of the UK charts for five weeks and has proved an enduring success in the US, too.

Lego Batman 2′s taken number one in the UK chart for a second week, while excellent shooter Spec Ops: The Line managed a number three debut.

Lego fansite Bricktuts is carrying what appears to be a promo image for Lego Batman 2, showing Batman, the Bat Mobile, Superman and more. The sequel’s reportedly out next year. The original released in 2008.

Earlier today, Gamekyo reported that Warner was set to announce LEGO Batman 2 for multiple platforms next year, and now the LA Times has word that The Hobbit, as well as another DC Comics-based title are heading our way in 2012.
