Namco Bandai dusts Klonoa off for digital comic series
Namco Bandai’s latest foray into digital comics – part of the publishers plan to keep interest in neglected properties alive – revisits everyone’s favourite cat-rabbit-hand-ear thing. Klonoa: Dream Traveller of Noctis Sol was announced at San Diego Comic Con, and is due in August on ShiftyLook. If you’re not already fangirling like a windmill, how about word that The Big O artist Hitoshi Ariga is handling pencils? Oh yeah. Klonoa starred in a couple of late 90′s, early 00′s platformers which were pretty much a joy and delight in every way. Be right back, emailing another HD re-release request.
Thanks, Destructoid.

Klonoa getting Wii remake
According to this 1UP report, Namco’s announced a new Klonoa game for Wii. From the piece:
Namco Bandai Games announced this week in Japan that the original Klonoa is getting a full-on Wii remake, taking the original and giving it a hefty graphical enhancement. The black-and-white flying cat thingy is debuting on the Wii December 4 in Japan at the relatively cheap price of 4800 yen; no details on a US version have been shared yet.
The Wii-make will be the same game as before — you control Klonoa as he uses his magic ring to beat up enemies and hop around on platforms and also experience the saddest story to ever hit the platform genre (serious). You can play the game with just the Wiimote pad and two buttons, holding the thing horizontally, though the Classic Controller will presumably be an option as well.
It’s all gone Japanese. We need a rest.

Klonoa for PSN, says PEGI
PEGI’s rated Namco platformer Klonoa for PSN. If you don’t remember Klonoa, it’s a cat-based platforming thing that was a big deal for a bit, then… wasn’t. It is, however, very good, so hopefully we’ll get confirmation and a release date on it soon.
