The Killzone Trilogy bundle is now available in stores for €49.99/£39.99, and Sony is celebrating with a Double XP Weekend. The pack contains the original Killzone remastered in HD, Killzone 2, Killzone 3, and the DLC released for both Killzone 2 and Killzone 3. You can also pick up Killzone HD on the PS Store today for £11.99/€14.99.

KIllzone HD updates the PS2 classic to match the controls of its PlayStation 3 sequels, in all but one regard: Guerrilla won’t have any of that jumping nonsense, thank you.

Killzone HD might seem like a natural evolution for many, but the team at Guerilla have had to dig deep in their cellars to reboot the game. Technical Director Michiel van der Leeuw and Senior Programmer Frank Compagner, who worked on the original title, spoke about the difficulty of hunting out old assets in a recent interview.

Killzone HD will arrive via the PS Store as a solo release on October 23, according to Sony. It will run you $14.99 for the game,or you can get it as part of the Killzone Trilogy for $39.99/€49.99/£40.84 when it hits retail in the US on October 23 and in the UK on October 24. The Killzone Trilogy has been confirmed by Sony, and the firm has given it an October date for Europe, the UK and US.
