Adam Doree’s only gone and brought back old stalwart Kikizo, but not in its old videogames-only format. Instead, the site’s relaunched to become “your entertainment destination,” but it will still cover gaming. As for VideoGamesDaily.com, the site that replaced Kikizo originally, that’s now been shelved, and is “taking a lunch break until further notice.” There’s an archive version of VGD, though, that can be found here. Big congrats and all the best!

AOL and Kikizo have launched a casual gaming site, FlyTrapGames.com.

The site covers the entire casual spectrum, including free-to-play, browser-based and mobile titles.

“We saw a gap in the market for an unbiased, editorially-led site about casual gaming,” said AOL games chap, Sean O’Connell.

Kikizo chap Adam Doree dropped us a line this morning to say he’s looking for a London games writer. Get all the details here. From the ad:

You will work from home, and have the necessary equipment to start work immediately (certain game systems and preview / review code will be provided by us), however, you will be expected to report in person to Kikizo’s HQ in Leicester Square, London, as often as necessary, and therefore you must be able to travel into Central London at short notice.

Speaking to Kikizo at E3, Konami creative legend Hideo Kojima admitted that he may well end up producing a fifth Metal Gear game. Never saw that coming.

“When we look ten years into the future, maybe yes, I may well end up spending more time on the Metal Gear series,” he said.

“I always intend to stay true to these statements; I do always say what I actually feel at that time, after each Metal Gear, when I say I am going to move on to the next project.

“But it’s like when Hayao Miyazaki says he is not going to do more, and then always ends up doing it.”

Kikizo boss Adam Doree’s relaunched Kikizo after he released his first site – SegaWeb – ten years ago.

“Ten years ago today, I nervously flicked the switch of my gaming site and waited to see how the world would react,” he said. “SegaWeb was dedicated to coverage of the once mighty platform holder, just as details of its Dreamcast project started to emerge in Tokyo.

“The internet was a different world in August 1998, and so was the world of video games.”

As you can see, the site’s been properly overhauled, so go and give him some page impressions. Congrats, Adam!
