Noby Noby two-way Boy fusion multiplayer shown in video

There’s a video from the PS Blog after the break of Noby Noby Boy’s multiplayer in action. It’s completely baffling. Don’t believe us?
Said Namco’s Keita Takahashi:
I’d like to share a little bit more about Multiplayer. In Single player, the game allows BOY to eat another BOY as well as people and animals, etc. In Multiplayer though, eating everything has some funny consequences. For example, if the head of a 1P BOY eats the rear of a 2P BOY, the two players end up with a combined BOY.
Head: Player 1
Rear: Player 2This could be very confusing because one BOY is controlled by two players. Moreover, the fact that the game is compatible for up to four players could bring even more chaotic situations. Doesn’t that sound fun?
“Confusing”. That’s the word you probably want to latch on to. More through there. Hit the link for the video.

Noby Noby Boy players levels drop, GIRL’s trip to Mars taking longer than expected

Player levels for Noby Noby Boy have dropped from an initial 60,000 to 1,000, meaning GIRL’s trip to Mars will take over 2,000 days current levels, says a website designed to track her progress.
Daily activity for the game sits around 1,500, rarely reaching 2,000 and almost falling below 1,000 occasionally, and while 300-500 new players are trying Noby out on a daily basis, people are also leaving the game.
Keita Takahashi has said that it would take 820 years for GIRL to connect the entire solar system.
Lofty goal there.

Keita Takahashi confirmed that Noby Noby Boy’s on its way to iPhone in his GDC session yesterday.

Apparently he started it “a week ago”.

Possible Noby Noby Boy update hinted at on official site

The official website for Noby Noby Boy has a teaser image posted which suggests that updates are coming soon.
Possible offline four-player multiplayer mode is suggested with the line “Even though it may be offline… I want to play multi-BOY!”, and new music is also implied with “Guiter music are good but music from castanets, triangles, and maracas is something I’d like to listen.”
Yes, the script on the page spells guitar like that.
Namco declined to comment on any updates when approached by Eurogamer, but the game has 47,685 players so far and GIRL has already reached the moon–hopefully that’s enough to give Keita Takahashi ample reason to create more content.

Future Noby Noby Boy updates depend on sales

Noby Noby Boy will be getting more downloadable content in the future, according to game creator Keita Takahashi.
Speaking in an interview with Eurogamer, Takahashi said: “We will make a big update approximately two months after the release. I think we will be able to present the content pretty soon.”
He did add that any further updates rest in the hands of the gamer.
“Without having a lot of people playing the game, I don’t think that the decison-makers at the company will allow another update,” he said.
“So I want many people to play the game. Please allow me to keep updating the game!”
The man has spoken.

Noby Noby Boy is not a so-called “game,” released worldwide next month
Kotaku has obtained the marketing instructions for Namco Bandai’s rather odd looking Noby Noby Boy revealing that the PSN title is not a “so-called game.”
Well, what is it then, we hear you cry? The release note unfortunately doesn’t say, but instead directs you to look at images and videos on the internet.
So, at Namco Bandai’s request you can watch a trailer for the game here and see if you can work out what it is.
One thing the marketing instructions did say, however, was that Noby Noby Boy will be available worldwide on February 19.
Full marketing instructions after the break.

New Noby Noby Boy trailer is bizarre

See it stretch and take out a car. See it bump into little girls and eat the love hearts that flow from the collision, see… well, see for yourselves.
Noby Noby Boy releases in Japan on Jan 4 and will cost ¥800 ($9). Europe and expect it a little later.
