Karateka, the follow-up to Prince of Persia creator Jordan Mechner’s first game, will release on Steam Monday, December 3, according to Polygon. The game will run you $9.99 but is 10% off it’s first week on the store. The remake releases on Xbox Live November 7, with PSN and iOS versions expected before the end of the year. A Wii U version is expected as well, but remains undated.

Karateka, a follow up to Prince of Persia creator Jordan Mechner’s very first game, arrived on Xbox Live this week. Check out the “Extended Director’s Cut” of its launch trailer, complete with live action, special effects, and gameplay footage.

Karateka has been rated by the ESRB for release on iOS, PC, PlayStation 3, Wii U and Xbox 360. The reboot of a classic 1984 fighter from Prince of Persia creator Jordan Mechner was announced in February, but this is the first we’ve heard of mobile or Wii U versions.

Jordan Mechner, creator of the The Prince of Persia series, is developing a remake his 1984 Apple II classic Karateka which he originally created while studying at Yale.
