Avalanche teases new game in development with Twitter image

avalanche teaser possible mad max

Avalanche Studios Christofer Sundberg has tweeted a teaser image of a game in development at the firm. You can have a look at it through the link. Last week, it was rumored that Avalanche was working on Just Cause 3 and Mad Max for next-gen, and if we were to guess, that screen looks rather Mad Max-ish to us. Then again, it could be anything. In 2010, God of War’s Cory Barlog was reportedly working on the Mad Max title at Avalanche, but as of last year, Barlog is now working at Crystal Dynamics.

Just Cause: The Movie – why not?

justcause

Parachuting, shooting, and parachute-shooting? Sounds like it’d make a decent popcorn flick to us. Adrian Askarieh thinks so too, which is why he recently acquired the rights for a Just Cause movie.

“Hitman was a very successful movie for Fox, and I wanted to find a similar project in terms of its genre, international appeal and ability to do for a price, but do it independently in order to maximize the creative and financial upside that a project like this could generate,” Askarieh told Variety.

Previously, Askarieh teamed up with Eidos to roll out the red carpet for Hitman and Kayne and Lynch’s silver screen debuts.

GameTap adds more Grimm, Just Cause is free until March 26

grimm

American McGee’s Grimm Volume 3 is starting to wind down, what with only two episodes left after this week’s offering of Sleeping Beauty.

In Grimm’s sordid version of the fairy tale, a socially awkward witch puts a kingdom to sleep for 100 years. This promises to be the longest episode yet.

Also, Just Cause has been added to the free-to-play list, but only until March 26.

That should get you pumped until Just Cause 2 comes out sometime this year.

GameTap’s offerings can be found here, and if you are chintzy and don’t wanna spend the cash on a subscription, just play the free ones.
