Oddworld: Stranger’s Wrath Vita patch pulled over save file issues
A recent patch for the Vita version of Oddworld: Stranger’s Wrath HD has been recalled after it was found to incorrectly report save game files as corrupted. On the Oddworld website, developer Just Add Water said a fix is inbound, and will restore any inaccessible saves made pre-update. The patch added online leaderboards and alternative controls without rear touchpad as well as fix for a graphics issue. Oddworld: Stranger’s Wrath is available now via the PlayStation Store.

Although JAW are currently working on Oddworld: Abe’s Odysee New ‘n Tasty, the studio is looking to the future. A survey on the official Oddworld website provides players with the opportunity to cast their vote for a future production from the team.

Oddworld: Stranger’s Wrath HD Vita out mid-December in US
Oddworld: Stranger’s Wrath HD will release in US in mid-December for Vita, Just Add Water announced over Twitter. A release date for Europe hasn’t been confirmed, but the developers teased a bit of news on that front will arrive “in one week.” Expect Stranger’s Wrath HD to hit the US on December 18. Thanks, CVG.

Oddworld games headed to Vita “very soon”
“Both Stranger’s Wrath HD and Munch’s Oddysee HD are coming to VITA very soon, we just need to get them finished up and through Sony QA before we can release them,” a post on the the OddworldInhabitants Facebook page advises. Stranger’s Wrath is available now for PlayStation 3, and Munch’s Oddysee is expected before the end of the year. Both games were promised for Sony’s new portable last year, but were mysteriously delayed.

Stranger’s Wrath HD dev ‘gives up on Microsoft’ over 360 SKU
Just Add Water boss Stewart Gilray has clarified earlier remarks which appeared to suggest the 360 version of Oddworld: Stranger’s Wrath HD had been canned. The project is still viable, the developer has confirmed, but now hangs in the balance after JAW was “dragged along” by Microsoft for 15 months.

Just Add Water teases Oddworld: Hand of Odd
Just Add Water’s opened up a teaser site for something called Oddworld: Hand of Odd. Nothing else there besides just a logo. Get a look at it here. JAW’s been working on revitalising the series since 2010. It released a PS3 HD version of Oddworld: Stranger’s Wrath. It’s now working on a Vita version of that game, as well as a HD redeux of Abe’s Oddysee.
