Pokémon developer uses Amnesia Fortnight-like prototype system
Pokémon developer Game Freak has introduced a side-project program to allow its staff to let their creativity flow free – something like Double Fine’s Amnesia Fortnight – with HarmoKnight as its first fruit.

Pokémon may lose a “certain feeling” if it went 3D, says producer
Pokémon Black & White 2 includes 3D models alongside traditional 2D animation, but Gamefreak isn’t keen on ditching sprites altogether.

Masuda says a “very important announcement” will be made on Pokémon Smash this week
Pokémon game director Junichi Masuda has said Japanese viewers of the Pokémon Smash TV Show can look forward to a “very important announcement” this week.

Pokémon director teases upcoming announcement
Siliconera reports Pokémon director Junichi Masuda has hinted a new game announce may happen soon. Speaking to fans at a Q&A event, and later following up on Twitter, the developer said those keen to hear about ne games should watch Pokémon Smash, a weekly Japanese TV show. No announcement was made during Sunday’s episode. Despite Gamefreak’s protestations, several signs point at an upcoming Pokémon Gray followup to 2011′s Black and White, possibly for 3DS.
