XBL update, May 23 – Joy Ride Turbo, Alex Kidd, Ubisoft deals of the week

Joy Ride Turbo has landed on the XBL Marketplace for 800 MS Points. Today also heralds the release of the Sega Vintage Collection which includes Alex Kidd & Co and Monster World. Also available, as of yesterday, is the Forza Motorsports 4 Porsche Expansion Pack for 1600 MS Points, and the Modern Warfare 3 Collection 2 for 1200 MS Points. Gold members can also get discounts this week on Outland (400 MSP), Might & Magic Clash of Heroes (600 MSP), and Beyond Good & Evil HD (400 MSP) which are the Deals of the Week. To celebrate the launch of Ghost Recon: Future Soldier, there’s also quite few Avatar items in the shop and Dragon’s Dogma DLC – A Coiffure You Can’t Refuse, and From A Different Sky – Part 1. Microsoft has updated its Xbox Live content schedule, and the releases kick off today with the Max Payne 3 Season Pass, Zumba Fitness Rush Bollywood Style Pack, Tiger Woods 13 DLC, and a Kinect Arcade sale featuring titles like Double Fine Happy Action Theater and Fruit Ninja Kinect for cheap.

Joy Ride Turbo announced, “just weeks away” from launch on XBLA

Microsoft has announced Joy Ride Turbo from BigPark an arcade racer which is “just weeks away” from launch. It is controller-based, instead of Kinect like the last outing, Kinect Joy Ride.

Joy Ride Turbo turns up in Australian classification

An unannounced Microsoft Studios title has appeared on the Australian Classification Board’s database. Called Joy Ride Turbo, the game was rated on April 5 and was given a G with a warning that online play experience may vary. It’s not clear if the new game has any relation to fellow Microsoft Studios release Kinect Joy Ride, although it certainly seems likely. We’ll poke Microsoft a bit and let you know if we get an answer.
