Guitar Hero: Hendrix in the works
It’ll never end. Slash has let slip that Acti-Bliz is working on a Jimi Hendrix version of Guitar Hero, speaking in an interview with Rolling Stone.
“Well, having the Aerosmith guys do it was very cool ’cause Aerosmith’s one of the bands I was heavily influenced by,” he said. “And Metallica’s doing it, that’s great. Those are two ones that I think gives it some credibility. And they’re doing a Hendrix one, which is great.”
Not quite a patch on SingStar ABBA, but not bad. More on GameDaily.

Jimi Hendrix songs and likeness to feature in Guitar Hero World Tour
Someone at Neversoft would have a lot of explaining to do if Rock Band snagged the man who some call “the greatest guitarist of all time,” so this only seems fitting. According to CBC News, Jimi Hendrix will be joining Guitar Hero World Tour’s lineup – in more ways than one.
Most importantly, players will be able to tie their fingers in knots to two of Hendrix hits: “The Wind Cries Mary” and a live version of “Purple Haze” (!) recorded a mere year before his untimely passing. Other Hendrix tunes will apparently be available for download after the game’s release.
Additionally, history’s favorite lefty will be reborn through the marvel of technology, as a hideous, unsightly Guitar Hero avatar. Hey, we never claimed this was good news.
