The Famitsu hardware estimates are in, and it looks as though Wii outsold PSP in Japan last week.

Here’s the list. We’ll see final figures tomorrow. Last week’s final data’s here.

• Wii: 65,000
• PSP: 55,000
• DS: 48,000
• PS3: 13,500
• PS2: 6,500
• 360: 4,500

PS3 sales are continuing to drop back in Japan as the MGS4 affect fully wanes. Look at that plucky 360 though, eh? Last week’s charts here. Data for the week ending June 29.

• PSP – 58,861
• Nintendo DS – 48,884
• Wii – 48,480
• PlayStation 3 – 17,973
• PlayStation 2 – 7,673
• Xbox 360 – 5,104

Japanese hardware sales have picked up slightly since last week, but no big new title means things stay pretty much on the level. Data for week ending June 1.

• PSP – 71,986
• Wii – 50,851
• DS – 38,355
• PS3 – 9,169
• PS2 – 7,203
• 360 – 1,959

As predicted, PSP’s had a huge week in Japan off the back of Capcom’s Monster Hunter Portable 2nd G, more than doubling nearest rival DS’s sales for the week ending March 30.

Figures for the week ending March 23. We don’t know how Microsoft has the strength to carry on, frankly.

Another update in the unending drama that is the Japanese hardware sales chart. DS is on top this time, which PSP down to a shameful third place. We bet t can’t look at itself in the mirror this morning.
