Japanese hardware sales, week ending Oct. 11 – DSi tops

The Japanese hardware sales chart for the week ending October 11, had the DSi tops moving 50,144 units.

PS3 was again at the top of the consoles with 30,000 in sales.

Hardware sales in total, week-on-week, fell from 194,522 to 162,794 units.

DS tops Japanese hardware sales with 63,954 units

According to Media Create, DS was number one again this week on Japan’s hardware sales chart with 63,954 units sold, and PSP nipping at its heels with 51,215 units moved.

PS3 edged out Wii with 37,538 and 35,392 sales respectively, with Xbox 360 and PS2 with 4,244 and 2,179 in sales.

Japanese hardware and software sales, week ending Sept. 21

Japanese sales for PS3 have stabilized in despite a slight eight percent drop to 51,055 with the only console to outsell PS3 this week being DSi with sales of 66,073, compared to the DS Lite which came to 13,555.

Wii sales were down to 16,698 compared to 17,568 last week, PSP sales spiked to 21,073 from 18,375, while Xbox 360 sales fell to 4,965 this week compared to last week’s 7,568.

Six title debuts took the software charts with Tales of Vesperia sitting at number three with 216,593 copies moved, and the top two spots being held once again by Pokemon Soul Silver and Pokemon Heart Gold – combined sales exceeded 440,000.

Japanese hardware sales, February 9-15

This week, Japanese hardware sales held steady – like an abandoned puppy waiting for its heartless master – only shuffling a lonely limb or two as needed to survive. Yeah. You’re reading about Japanese videogame hardware sales, and real, saucer-eyed canines are out there somewhere without even a sweater to their names.

Sickening.

Japanese hardware sales: DSi flies off shelves, PS3 sales shoot up

Media Create‘s updated its weekly sales charts to confirm that DSi sold 172,000 units of Nintendo’s initial 200,000 shipment.

PS3 had an amazing week relative to recent performance, presumably in thanks to the release of GTA IV, up from 3,931 last week to over 39,500 units sold.

Bloody hell. PS3 sales collapsed further in Japan this week, falling below the 4,000 mark for the first time.

PSP sales came back to earth after a monster previous week, and 360 held steady.

Latest Media Create figures have shown that PS3 sales have actually dropped in Japan, down from last week’s all-time low. Xbox 360′s looking positively perky by comparison.

Japanese hardware sales: Weekly PS3 figures hit all-time low

Oh dear. Xbox 360 has yet again outsold PS3 in Japan, with the Sony machine hitting its lowest weekly figure yet, according to teh internets.

This is 360′s fourth week ahead of PS3. Before the 360 massive gets too excited, it’s worth pointing out that PS2 outsold them both.

Japanese hardware sales: 360 takes third week over PS3

Blimey. Media Create sales have shown Xbox 360 beating PS3 for a third week straight in Japan, and with the Microsoft console having also racked up a win over the Sony machine in the entire month of September, it’s going to be all smiles in the green camp this morning, no doubt.

Xbox 360 beats PS3 in Japan for second week

Shocking but true. Media-Create figures have shown that 360 has beaten PS3 in Japan for the second week in a row. Stranger things have happened. Although if you’d suggested this would be going on a few years ago, a great many people would have laughed in your face.

Media Create figures have shown that Xbox 360 didn’t outsell Wii in Japan last week, as you can see at the bottom of the stats service’s site.

The figures that showed the Microsoft machine in front were from Enterbrain, the company that publishes Famitsu.

Japanese hardware sales – Aug 11th to 17th

DS reigns supreme in Japan at the moment, although it’s handheld rival, Sony’s PSP, isn’t too far behind. PS3 only just outsold PS2, and Microsoft can be left to wonder what might have been if more 360s were available in the region.

360 outsells PS3 nearly 3:1 in Japan thanks to Vesperia

It appears signing up exclusive RPGs wasn’t the stupidest thing Microsoft could have done in Japan. Xbox 360 sold almost 25,000 units in the past week on the back of Namco’s Tales of Vesperia, dwarfing a PS3 struggling to maintain even 10,000 per week.

Media Create has published the latest Japanese hardware charts, and Sony’s PSP is still sitting pretty in first place. It’s big brother, PlayStation 3 is down by a couple of thousand whilst Xbox 360 still hovers closely to the 5,000 mark. No real change elsewhere.
