3DS edges over PSP in Japanese hardware charts

4Gamer‘s quoting Media Creat figures as saying 3DS was ahead of PSP in Japanese sales for the week ending April 17. The Nintendo handheld, which released on February 26 in Japan, trailed behind the Sony machine for the previous two weeks. Media Create hasn’t actually updated its site yet, but you can see the supposed figures below. Media Create has released its sales chart for Japanese hardware and software for the week ending April 10, and it finds PSP topping the harware chart for the third week in a row. On the software chart, Earth Defense Force 2 Portable debuted at number one.

Japanese hardware and software charts Jan 24 -30: The Last Story and PSP reign supreme

Media Create has released its sales charts for Japanese hardware and software for the week of January 24 – 30, and it finds Mistwalker’s The Last Story debuting in the top spot as was expected by anyone with a pulse. PSP continued to be the hardware of choice for the periods, thanks to the debut of Valkyria Chronicles 3 and a game about having a little sister on the system.

Japanese hardware charts – PS3 poised for year-to-date Wii kill

Media Create’s Japanese hardware figures today have put PS3 within striking distance of passing Wii in the country this year, with only around 3,000 units now separating the two systems in 2010.

We missed this data last week thanks to Duke Nukem Forever. The upside is you now get two sets of weekly figures in one go. Try to keep those pants on, boys.
