Vita sales surge in Japan thanks to Persona 4 The Golden
Media Create has released its weekly retail chart for Japan, and thanks to the release of Persona 4 the Golden Vita sales surged to 34,459 units compared to last week’s 13,383 units, giving it a second place spot on the hardware charts.

Tokyo Jungle debuts in top spot on Japanese charts
Media Create has released its weekly retail chart for Japan, and Tokyo Jungle debited strong, topping the software chart with 110,309 units sold. 3DS was still the top hardware offering, despite a significant sales drop of 36,200 units over last week. Dragon Quest Monsters: Terry’s Wonderland tops Japanese charts with over 500K sold
Media Create has released its weekly retail chart for Japan, Square’s latest entry in the Dragon Quest Monsters franchise, Terry’s Wonderland 3D, topped the charts with 513,183 units sold. 3DS sales were up 45,863 units over last week thanks to the title. Dragon’s Dogma storms Japanese charts with 331,064 units sold
Media Create has released its weekly retail chart for Japan, and Capcom’s RPG Dragon’s Dogma demolished the software chart with 302,040 units sold on PS3 and 29,024 units sold on Xbox 360. Mario Tennis Open, which was also a new release for the period, came in second with 102,000 units sold. On the hardware side, 3DS moved 55,212 and Vita sales were up slightly over last week with 6,675 units moved – otherwise, hardware sales were relatively flat week-over-week.

My Little Sister and 3DS top Japanese Charts
Media Create has released its weekly retail chart for Japan, and Namco’s PSP title My Little Sister Can’t Be This Cute Can’t Be Continuing topped software with 53,175 units sold for its debit. 3DS was once again sporting the hardware crown with 45,752 units moved. Mario Party 9 and 3DS retain top spots on Japanese charts following Golden Week
Media Create has released its weekly retail chart for Japan, and Mario Party 9 was still tops for post Golden Week. 3DS also remained on top despite a significant drop in sales over the week prior; however, the hardware decline was chart-wide with Vita sales falling to 6,340 units – its lowest figure yet.

Media Create has released its weekly retail chart for Japan, and Golden Week was indeed golden for Nintendo with Mario Party 9 topping software with 144,585 units moved. It didn’t end there, though: 15 out of 20 titles on the software chart were for Nintendo systems, with 3DS still tops in hardware and Wii outselling PS Vita by 5,206 units.

Suikoden and Gravity Daze were big sellers in Japan for the week ending February 12, according to the latest Media Create figures, and while the former provided PSP with a slight boost in sales over the week prior, the later didn’t help Vita sell any extra systems.

Resident Evil: Revelations topped Media Create’s software charts this week, after debuting in second place to Armored Core V last week. On the hardware side of things, Vita’s rebound the week prior was short-lived, as sales of the handheld fell 1,801 units week-over-week.
