Eurocom CV reveals next Bond game is to do with Goldeneye

goldeneye

If a CV from Eurocom staff member Craig Peck seems to indicate what we think it does, the next Bond game from Activision looks like it has something to do with Goldeneye.

The CV shows:

Eurocom Entertainment Software, Derby, United Kingdom
July 09 – Sept 09 Animator – GoldenEye 2010 (Wii)
Animator on Activision’s James Bond series for the Nintendo Wii

It’s worth noting that Bizarre are creating the next Bond game, but Eurocom could do porting work for the game, as they did with Quantum of Solace for the Wii last year, while Treyarch handled the PS3 and 360 versions.

Thanks, superannuation.

There’ll be a Shrek 4 game too, thank God.

The news comes via Gamespot, who listened in on Activision’s pre-E3 presser yesterday.

Bond to go annual, says analyst

quantumofsolace4.jpg

According to this GI story, Cowen and Company’s Doug Cruetz has claimed that Activision is to go annual with Bond games.

“James Bond will become an annual franchise, which we had not necessarily expected given the lack of an accompanying movie next year,” said the analyst.

Not quite sure where he’s got that from, but there we are. More through the link.

Riccitiello talks Godfather II

godfather.jpg

Talking at a session with investors at the William Blair & Company’s 28th Annual Growth Stock Conference, EA CEO John Riccitiello said that EA’s Redwood Shores studio is at work on a sequel to The Godfather game.

“It’s a game that I think we’ll be talking a lot about this fall,” said Riccitiello.

“You can play this game both at the street level, much like a GTA-style game, but you can also play it top-down, almost like you’re in an RTS, controlling the strategy of the boroughs so you can see what’s going on.”

Riccitiello also added that EA’s Hunter Smith, who worked on two EA James Bond games will be executive producer on The Godfather II.

Thanks, Next-Gen.
