Wasteland 2: inXile addresses camera and dialogue concerns
Wasteland 2′s camera and dialogue mechanics have supposedly caused developer inXile to suffer a big pile of backlash recently. The studio has now attempted to scoop up the steaming mess using a plastic bag made of practical examples and words in a new Kickstarter blog post.

Wasteland 2 devs provide more detail on dialogues, HUD, and camera
InXile has updated the Wasteland 2 Kickstarter page with an update pertaining to fan concerns over the HUD, and keyword dialogue system revealed in the last update. According to the the team, keywords and skills can affect conversations and quests in the game, and example of this was shown through full sentence previews keywords. Wasteland 2 video gives a look into the game’s progress
The first look into the development of Wasteland 2 has been released in video form. In it, you will become privy to some of the radio broadcasts from across the Wasteland and you will also be given a tour of the Agricultural Center by development director Chris Keenan. After that, you can get a look at the combat system, HUD, skill system, and keyword dialog system. It’s all work-in-progress stuff, but at least you finally get to see something. Wasteland 2 – new work-in-progress screenshot surfaces, combat and inventory discussed
A new, work-in-progress Wasteland 2 screenshot has been released, which shows off a an industrial area being explored by Rangers. inXile also recently held an Ask A Dev Q&A session, in which the team discusses the grid-based, weight limited inventory system, combat, as well as dialogue and more. Planescape: Torment sequel gets Avellone’s blessing
Planescape: Torment has been rumoured for the sequel treatment following chatter from Obsidian’s Chris Avellone and one of the writers on the original Chris McComb. As Avellone is too busy with the Project Eternity Kickstarter, he has given McComb his permission to proceed with the game with Wasteland 2 developer InXile’s help. Set geekgasm sensors to ‘violent’.

Wasteland 2 vision document available for perusal
Following through on his promise to keep the fan community informed, Brian Fargo and inXile have released a vision document for Wasteland 2. The Kickstarter-funded sequel has a vocal support base, and feedback is invited over on the game’s forum. For those of us less charmed by nitty-gritty details, the document also includes some new art to gaze upon. Wasteland 2 is expected in October for PC.

Wasteland 2 Kickstarter rewards surveys sent out
If you backed Wasteland 2′s Kickstarter, keep an eye on your inbox, including the spam folder. InXile has sent out surveys to eligible backers collecting personal information required for rewards to be sent out – shipping details, and how you’d like your name to appear in the credits, for example. The RPG is expected to ship in October, and raised almost $3 million in crowd funding.
