Torment: Tides of Numenera sets Kickstarter record with three hours to go
With three hours left on the Kickstarter clock, Torment: Tides of Numenera has hit $4,028,412 thanks to 71,911 backers, and that’s not even counting the over $176,000 earned through PayPal. The latest round of money tossed at the project has made the project the current Kickstarter record holder for most funding, besting Project Eternity. The project with the most funding from all areas was Star Citizen and its $6.2 million. To celebrate the milestone, inXile posted another piece of concept art, showing off a male playable character. Torment: Tides of Numenera video shows lighting test using Unity
The Torment: Tides of Numenera Kickstarter page has been updated with a video, which shows a 3D character on pre-rendered 2D background. It’s basically a technology test using Unity, and is of the screenshots released yesterday. With three days to go, the Kickstarter has hit $3,336,869 thanks to 61,056 backers. If you want Chris Avellone on board, you better start tossing some money at it.

The initial funding goal of $900,000 was met – and then some – Wednesday evening, and now, thanks to 38,203 backers, the project’s funding is racing ahead and an enormous pace.
