Namco said today that gravity-based shooter Inversion’s released has now been confirmed for July 13 on 360 and PS3. A PC version will follow on July 27. The Saber-developed game, originally intended to hit in February, has slipped twice this year. Watch a video of it in action after the break.

Namco has released a behind-the-scenes video for Inversion, which features developers from Saber Interactive offering providing an extensive rundown of the game’s inception, story, and a look at the gravity-based gameplay. There’s also a new, free app available called The Inversion Project available for iPhone, iPad and iPod Touch. The app serves as the “perfect training ground,” for the upcoming console. You can find it on the App Store. Inversion is out on PS3 and Xbox 360 on June 5 in North America and in Europe July 2012.

Namco has released a bevy of screenshots for the games on display during its Global Gamer’s Day event. Below the break, you’ll find screenshots for titles such as: One Piece: Pirate Warriors, Tekken Tag Tournament 2, Inversion, Tales of Graces f and Madagascar 3. Don’t forget about Namco’s Inversion. It still exists, it’s still upside down and it still features a full multiplayer suite, unless these videos are elaborate lies. The gravity-bending shooter was delayed recently for “polish,” and we’re still awaiting a date. See what’s going on with it below.

Namco has announced it has Saber Interactive’s gravity-bending shooter Inversion has been delayed. Originally set for release in 2010 before being moved to February 7, 2012, the game will now be released “sometime during early 2012.” Speaking with Gamespot, the publisher said the additional development time would “allow the team to polish several key aspects of the game,” ensuring it’s “of the highest quality” upon release. More information regarding the release will be provided in an upcoming announcement.

Namco’s released the E3 video for Inversion, its upcoming, dual-copping, gravity-bending gunathon. It’s like Gears of War, but upside down and some flying cars. Looks sweet. It’s out next February. Take a look.
