Bioware hires former Big Huge Games devs to work on new Mass Effect
The next Mass Effect game has had new members added to its development team, according to a Superannuation report on Kotaku. The members are ex- Big Huge Games and Impossible Studios staffers, who have now moved on to BioWare Montreal. The report also notes that Colin Campbell is now head of the new Mass Effect’s level design team and Ian Frazier is now its lead gameplay designer. Head through the link for more information.

Infinity Blade: Dungeons put “on hold,” Impossible Studios being closed
Infinity Blade: Dungeons has been put “on hold,” and the developer of the third entry in the series, Impossible Studios, is being shuttered according to Epic Games founder Tim Sweeney.

Gears of War, Infinity Blade, Fortnite swag available direct from Epic
Epic has opened a new online storefront, shilling its wares directly to the public. Gears of War, Bulletstorm, Jazz Jackrabbit, Infinity Blade and the upcoming Fortnite are all represented, and as well as your favourite properties, there’s also Unreal Engine and general Epic studio-branded gear. Available merchandise includes t-shirts and hoodies (none in women’s fits, unfortunately), artwork and pre-orders for an upcoming coffee mug. Epic isn’t the first to open a storefront of this kind; Ubisoft and BioWare both front similar initiatives, for example.

Epic Games forms ex-Amalur staff into Impossible Studios
Epic Games has announced that they’ve formed Impossible Studios, a new development studio partly composed of former employees of the now-defunct Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning dev Big Huge Games.
