IL-2 Sturmovik sequel Battle of Stalingrad announced by 1C, 777 studios
IL-2 Sturmovik: Battle of Stalingrad, a sequel to WWII combat flight simulator IL-2 Sturmoviker, is in development through 1C Company and 777 Studios.

IL-2 Sturmovik devs working on Battle of Britain flight-sim game

Maddox Games has announced via an IncGamers interview with founder Oleg Maddox, that the firm’s next project s based on the Battle of Britain air war during WWII.
“Right now we are working full steam on a new simulator series, and the opening release will be dedicated to the Battle of Britain in 1940,” said Maddox. “The guys are using state-of-the-art technologies to achieve the highest realism possible starting with the visual side and ending up with a real feeling of flight.
“We are developing the engine with an eye to the future. It will be capable of much more than will appear in the first release of the series. And you will see this gradual development coinciding with the improvement of PC performance and capabilities.”

1C bringing IL-2 Sturmovik and Captain Blood to consoles
According to this MCV piece, 1C’s announced much-loved flight sim IL-2 Sturmovik and pirate thingy Captain Blood for consoles.
Apparently the titles are heading to 360, PS3, DS and PSP in various forms.
“1C is using cutting-edge technology, including the amazing power of modern consoles, to bring superior games to every market,” said Nikolay Baryshnikov, international sales director, 1C.
“Our aim is to bring our games to even more players and expand our vision with cross platform development. We are embracing any new gaming technology that will improve our products including digital downloads, consoles, handheld gaming, Epic’s Unreal 3 Engine, NVIDIA PhysX and DirectX 10.”

Ubi bringing over 40 games to Steam
Here. Valve must be laughing all the way to the bank. Ubisoft announced today that it’s bringing 40 games to Steam, a deal that makes it the most prolific on the download service.
Assassin’s Creed is already to pre-purchase on Steam, but the new deal will see the Tom Clancy series, the Heroes of Might & Magic series, the IL-2 Sturmovik games and Far Cry added.
