Blizzard purchases IGN Pro League assets, “no plans” to continue operation
Blizzard has purchased the IGN Pro League, acquiring all assets and technology, and finding a new role for affected staff.

Blizzard denies IPL buy-out rumours
The IGN Pro League will not be coming under Blizzard’s banner, the publisher told GameSpot in response to recent rumours. Blizzard doesn’t normally bother with rumours, but said it has extended job offers to some prominent IPL community members and is looking at purchasing some of its technology and assets, so spoke out to clear up confusion. The eSports organisation was abruptly shut down by the Ziff Davis buyout, and IGN is still looking for a purchaser to take it over wholesale if possible.
