Square Enix has announced that Hitman: Sniper Challenge, the pre-order incentive for Hitman: Absolution, and Gyromancer – the puzzle-RPG – are now available on its free-to-play platform, CoreOnline. The service now features six games available instantly in your browser, with more games to come. Users can play on the service free for 20 minutes per day, with advertisements included or purchase a subscription for $2.99 per month to get unlimited access to all games without advertising. IO Interactive has announced the launch of the Hitman: Sniper Challenge for PC users, which is a sniper experience available to play the moment Hitman: Absolution is pre-ordered. PS3 and Xbox 360 users have already had their chance in the spotlight, now it’s time for PC users to start scoring. The PC version of Hitman: Absolution will be shown for the gamescom later this month.

Due to the overwhelmingly positive response to Hitman: Sniper Challenge, developer IO Interactive has expressed interest to explore that style of gameplay further.

Square Enix has announced Hitman: Sniper Challenge is now available to download for pre-orders of Hitman Absolution if you pre-ordered the game. It’s available now on PS3 and 360, with the PC version coming on August 1. Absolution launches worldwide on November 20 for PS3, 360 and PC.

Square Enix Europe has trademarked something called Hitman Sniper Challenge, a filing discovered by Siliconera has shown. This is the second such trademark registration in weeks following the discovery of Hitman Profession, leading speculation that particular name was linked to the Hitman title being made as Square Enix Montreal’s debut title.

Square also has IO’s Hitman Absolution, set to launch later this year for PS3, 360 and PC.
