Gyromancer and Hitman: Sniper Challenge now available through Square’s CoreOnline service
Square Enix has announced that Hitman: Sniper Challenge, the pre-order incentive for Hitman: Absolution, and Gyromancer – the puzzle-RPG – are now available on its free-to-play platform, CoreOnline. The service now features six games available instantly in your browser, with more games to come. Users can play on the service free for 20 minutes per day, with advertisements included or purchase a subscription for $2.99 per month to get unlimited access to all games without advertising. Tomb Raider has sold 3.4 million units in the last four weeks, which is still a failure in the eyes of Square-Enix’s financial report. The company published a grim revision of its expected financials this morning, citing the poor performance of several titles as a key contributor.

Hitman: Absolution, Mass Effect 3 talks added to GDC 2013 schedule
GDC organizers have announced more programming and design sessions for GDC 2013. The first focuses on programming AI and NPCs in Hitman: Absolution, and will be hosted by IO Interactive’s Mika Vehkala and Maurizio De Pascale. A design track from BioWare’s Dave Feltham will discuss bringing narrative to Mass Effect 3, and finally, GREE’s Aaron Bannin will host a postmortem on Kingdom Age where he will discuss the use of data for “numbers, analytics,” and more. GDC 2013 runs March 25-29 at the Moscone Center in San Francisco.
