Here’s a little blip we missed from today’s Tales of Graces f release date announcement; on the PlayStation Blog Tales series producer Hideo Baba said we can expect “a Tales of filled year” and that he has “a lot of surprise announcements lined up”. The next announced western release for the series is Tales of Xillia, which already has a sequel in Japan.

Tales of Xillia takes a break from the stylistic leanings of past Tales games in order to show off its expanded game world, according to director Hideo Baba.

Tales of Xillia producer Hideo Baba has told the PS Blog there are no big changes between the original Japanese version of the game and the international version. Baba said this was because the team wanted to provide “the same gameplay experience as much as possible between all regions.” In another part of the interview, Baba reiterated that is the game sells well, more Tales games will be released in the west in the future. Namco Bandai will release Tales of Xillia in North America and Europe in 2013.

Hideo Baba has confirmed Namco Bandai keeps an eye out for fan demand before moving to localise Japanese releases.

Namco Bandai has announced Tales of Xillia will be released in North America and Europe in 2013. The news was announced during the Japan Expo in Paris today. Series producer Hideo Baba said there’s also “a good chance” the Tales of Xillia 2 will be released in the west, providing Xillia sells well in the region. Xillia 2 is out November 1 in Japan. The next Tales of core installment will ask the question “are you prepared to destroy the world for the sake of a girl?” The question is the tagline for the next game, which’ll be announced next month, as detailed in this week’s Famitsu by Tales of producer Hideo Baba.
