Starting tomorrow, all characters in the free-to-play fantasy MOBA Heroes of Newerth will be free to everyone. S2 Games announced all 107 heroes will be unlocked once patch 2.6.11 deploys. Those who purchased a hero over the last 15 days will be receive a refund, and if you used real-money, you’ll receive an exclusive super robot avatar called Mecha Gemini. S2 Games has confirmed to Kotaku that MMO Heroes of Newerth has now gone F2P. When you sign up for the game, you’ll get a free, basic account to play with. After the player has reached a certain level or they purchase Goblin Coins, they’ll move up to becoming a verified account. Basic and Verified subs will each be able to gain access to 15 free heroes.
