Hawken’s second closed beta starts tomorrow, runs November 8-13
Hawken will be the recipient of a second closed beta starting tomorrow, and running through November 13. As an incentive, the developers are putting pre-sale bundles featuring customization and item perks on sale for $5, $15, $30 and $60, according to Joystiq. Open beta starts on December 12 and you can sign up for it here.

Hawken gameplay demo shows shooting mixed with techno music
Hawken, the free-to-play online shooter from Adhesive Games, has been played by the folks over at PC Gamer. Below the break, you can watch four minutes of gameplay from the site, complete with techno music. Hawken will release in December on PC and you can get in on the beta through here.

Hawken live action series will launch in 2013, see the trailer here
Hawken, the free -to-play mech blaster from Adhesive Games is to be adapted into a live action series courtesy of DJ2 entertainment and Warner Premier. They describe it as “Romeo & Juliet” meets “District 9.” Check out the trailer here.

First trailer for Hawken web series released
A trailer for the Hawken webs series, directed by Gears of War art director Jeremiah O’Flaherty, has been posted below. Produced by DJ2 Entertainment and to be released by Warner, the web series stars Edi Gathegi, Gonzalo Menendez, Dameon Clark, and Hannah Hall and is set for release in 2013. Warner to produce Hawken web-based series
Warner Premiere, the company behind live-action Mortal Kombat: Legacy, has announced it’s secured the rights to develop a web series based on the futuristic mech shooter Hawken. Initial plans for the web series will take fans to the start of the series where humans on an industrialized planet are battling for dwindling resources. Copper Media, a new division of Silver Pictures Entertainment, Warner Bros. Digital Distribution and DJ2 Entertainment are attached to produce. Hawken live-action shorts in the works, directed by Jerry O’Flaherty
The indie mech sim Hawken will be the recipient of a series of live-action shorts directed by Jerry O’Flaherty, the art director on Gears of War. The shorts will combine filmed footage with effects created by Unreal Engine 3. The first short will debut during E3 in June, according to Kotaku. The free-to-play game itself launches on December 12 and you can sign up for the beta here.

Hawken gets new teaser trailer
Adhesive has released a teaser trailer for its upcoming multiplayer mech-combat game Hawken. The trailer throws some light on the story of the game, as well as featuring gameplay footage showing mechs fighting each other and contains a beautiful background score. The game’s looking pretty good. Adhesive’s also confirmed that another trailer for the game is due at the end of this week. The downloadable title is in development for PC, PS3, and Xbox 360, but has no date yet. Watch the trailer below.
