Ubisoft has announced Madeline Bell will be singing the theme song in Assassin’s Creed: Revelations, and appear on the official soundtrack as well. Bell was the winner of a contest co-hosted by UJAM, with the jury consisting of composers Hans Zimmer, Lorne Balfe and Simon Landry. Bell was one of the ton ten finalists in the contest, which asked participants to add vocals to the track through harmony, actual lyrics, or just humming. The full top ten, along with Bell’s winning version can be listened to through here. Thanks, Kotaku.

Modern Warfare 2 has an “emotional darkness” that goes beyond impact found in other games, super-composer Hans Zimmer’s told USA Today.
“What makes it really interesting is that it has an emotional darkness to it where sometimes you go, I just can’t believe they are going to do this now and then they do it,” he said.
“It’s full of those sort of moments where it just takes things further than anyone would expect them to do. So I think it is less a geographic journey than an emotional one.”
Can’t guess what he’s talking about. The shooter’s out on November 10.
