Halo 4: Forward Unto Dawn, the live-action series, has been nominated for an Emmy by the Academy of Television Art & Sciences. It’s been nominated for Outstanding Main Title Design, and will go up against HBO’s Newsroom, FX’s American Horror Story: Asylum, Starz’ Da Vinci Demons (what?), CBS’ Elementary, the Sherlock Holmes series set in a modern-day with Lucy Liu, and History Channel’s Vikings. At the Rooster Teeth Expo in Texas this weekend 343 announced new downloadable content for Halo 4, which consists of a few different items that you can buy individually or in what is called the Champions Bundle. This content will hit August 20.

Halo 4 is the best-selling Microsoft Studios title ever in the US, according to Microsoft. The firm said the 343 Industries title has surpassed its predecessor Halo 3 “for sales during each respective launch year.” In other words, it bested Halo 3′s launch year but not total sales – yet.
