Halo 4: Spartan Ops, the episodic co-op campaign for the shooter, will resume on January 21 according to a video shown at the VGAs. The January episodes will conclude the season with five entries. 343 Industries has hinted around that there may be a second season in the works, and it wouldn’t shock us whatsoever if it were announced sometime after the last episode is released. The trailer shown during the VGAs has been pulled off YouTube by Viacom, which owns Spike TV and the VGAs. When the video becomes available again, we’ll let you know.

Halo 4′s Spartan Ops will be entering a mid-season break between December 10-17th to make way for the new Crimson Map Pack’s release, and the newly-announced Halo 4: Infinity Challenge. During that week however, 343 Industries will release a ‘Best-of’ playlist for Spartan Ops, and a new title update. Get the details below.

Halo 4′s fifth Spartan Ops episode is live for download now. It’s called “Memento Mori” and it features four missions – Gate, the Cauldron, the Refuge and Quarry – and it’s received a launch trailer. Check it out below.

A really short video for Halo 4: Spartan Ops Episode 3 has been released by Microsoft. It’s below courtesy of Gamespot’s Youtube channel. The Episode is expected to land on Monday, November 19 continues the storyline associated with Dr. Catherine Halsey.

Halo 4: Spartan Ops Episode 2 is out next week, and in it, the “mysterious artifact recovered” from Requiem takes over the vital systems on the UNSC Infinity. This forces the Spartans of Crimson and Majestic back down to the planet to “look for a way to free the ship.” Have a look at the video teaser below. The downloadable co-op campaign is free, and 343 Industries has said new missions will be released every week for 10 weeks, totaling 50 in all. Thanks, OXM.
