Guild Wars 2 held its first massive one-time world event last weekend, the Lost Shores, and wants to know what you thought about battling giant enemy crabs. ArenaNet has published a survey asking for feedback on the special event, which Massively reports was blighted by a number of bugs.

Guild Wars 2 will be running a refer-a-friend program which will run November 15-18, according to ArenaNet. Starting November 12, players can send out invites to friends, who can play the game for free that weekend, which coincides with the Lost Shores event. Thanks, Polygon.

Guild Wars 2′s Shadow of the Mad King update this week introduces paid PvP tournaments, but the later didn’t launch with the Halloween content due to a bug issue. That’s set to change come tomorrow, according to ArenaNet’s community manager.

Guild Wars 2 fans might have noticed an interesting tidbit in the Halloween update details – something about tournament participation netting you a better chance of qualifying for future events. In a dedicated blog update, ArenaNet has outlined its proposed updates to structured PvP in more detail, which also includes changes to the tournament finder and scoreboard among other tweaks. It’s a must-read for competitive types as ArenaNet is hoping to push the MMORPG into the eSports scene eventually.

A Guild Wars 2 Mac client is now available in beta form for anyone who purchases Guild Wars 2. It shares the same features and connects to the same live game servers as the PC client. Those who purchase the MMO can now play it on both PC and Mac, and the Mac beta client can be accessed through the Guild Wars 2 account management website after activating your game code.
