ArenaNet has announced that World vs World bugs have been patched with improved accuracy so rankings will be available after this weekend’s beta. Servers available for the final beta where also announced, and the world population has been increased due to the additional areas open for traversing as well as to test the tech. ArenaNet has announced weekend beta plans for Guild Wars 2 are on hold until it can implement new hardware. According to a post on the MMO’s Facebook page, new hardware will help cull some of the issues the beat experienced during the stress test. A second beta event will be announced once the the new hardware is in place. Thanks, TenTonHammer.

The standard and deluxe digital editions of Guild Wars 2 on the official store have sold out in North America, according to a statement posted on the game’s Facebook page. GameStop and Best Buy still have stock available. Those who purchased the game digitally were ensured a spot in the beta, which starts this weekend. NCsoft put a cap on the amount of digital versions available, it said, in order to “ensure we have enough capacity for our customers.” All is not lost though, baby Charr, the company further stated that ArenaNet will “likely have capacity available after the initial crunch at the start of the weekend,” and once the firm is able to resume digital sales, those who purchase the game will “still be able to play for the remainder of the weekend.”

ArenaNet has announced the first public Guild Wars 2 beta weekend will occur next weekend on April 27. The fun will end though on April 29. More testing weekends will be announced at a later date, so if you miss out on this one, you will have another opportunity to participate in the future. To get a beta key, you can pre-purchase the game to get instant access or if you have signed up for it previously, check your mail boxes. Beta sign-ups are currently closed.
