Following SCEA’s confirmation that Killzone 2 is to release on February 27 in the US, SCEE’s said only that Guerrilla’s shooter will appear around the same time in Europe and has failed to specify a date.

“We are targeting a similar timeframe for the release of Killzone 2 in the PAL regions; specific launch dates will be communicated at a later date,” a rep told Videogamer.

It’s unlikely we’ll have long to wait for a European date. It’ll be worth it.

Ryan Mac Donald, Gamespot’s executive producer, may have dropped Killzone 2′s release date into the latest edition of On the Spot, saying the game will be out on February 17.

Watch it after the break. He says it at 32.10.

There’s been no official announcement on the date from Sony as yet other than “February”.

SCEE’s confirmed the start of the Killzone 2 public beta.

Don’t be expecting an influx of impressions just yet, though: all editorial’s embargoed until November 13.
