Guardians of Middle-earth has a new battle profile video available featuring Nori, a key character from The Hobbit who is one of the 13 dwarves accompanying Bilbo to The Lonely Mountain. Also announced today was the character of Wulfrun, who is not part of the Lord of the Rings cannon, but was present in the game War in the North. He is a sorcerer from Carn Dum who serves Sauron’s servant Agandaur, and also leads a group of dark sorcerers called the Cult of the Lidless Eye. Check it all out below. Guardians of Middle-earth has a new set of shots and a couple of gameplay videos available. Below the break you can have a look at Hildifons, a “resourceful Hobbit who can kindle fires and create explosions from almost nothing,” and then, there’s the embodiment of himself, Sauron. Players can also play in the game as Aragorn’s father, Arathorn and there’s also Runsig as well. The Lord of the Rings MOBA is slated for a northern fall release on PS3 and Xbox 360. Warner Bros. has announced its gamescom will include two announcements regarding “new games”, one of which will be a “major release”. Nice. The games coming along in the firm’s pack to the event will include: Batman Arkham City: Armoured Edition, Injustice: Gods Among Us, LEGO: Lord of the Rings, Lord of the Rings Online, and Guardians of Middle-Earth. gamescom takes place August 15 – 19 in Cologne, Germany. Warner Bros.has announced Guardians of Middle-earth, a new MOBA game developed by Monolith and set to debut in the fall for PSN and XBLA. The game will feature tie-ins to the upcoming The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey motion picture, directed by Peter Jackson. The game allows up to 10 players to compete in 5v5 competitive multiplayer battle arenas set in Middle-earth. It offers the choice of 20 guardians, including Gandalf, Sauron, Gollum, Thráin and more for players to control in PvP matches. It will contain in-game voice chat system, online stats and a leader board system. The first trailer for the game will be unveiled on GTTV with Geoff Keighley, Thursday May 31 at 1.00am EDT during the show’s annual pre-E3 special.
