Japanese charts – Suikoden and Gravity Daze tops for Sony portables

Suikoden and Gravity Daze were big sellers in Japan for the week ending February 12, according to the latest Media Create figures, and while the former provided PSP with a slight boost in sales over the week prior, the later didn’t help Vita sell any extra systems.

Gravity Daze down for February 9 in Japan

Sony’s confirmed it’ll release Gravity Daze for Vita on February 9 in Japan. The retail version, which wil come with booklet featuring a comic, illustrations and bonus extras, will cost ¥5,980. The download version from PSN will be ¥4,900. The game, which is being made by Silent Hill creator Keiichirō Toyama and is looking absolutely lovely by its latest batch of shots, will require a memory card.

Wipeout 2048 JP release pushed to January, Gravity Daze down for February

The latest Famitsu is saying Wipeout 2048 will now appear as a post-launch title for Vita in Japan: the mag says the racer will now release on January 19 in the country, a month after the handheld’s December 17 green-light. The other big title due in January for Vita in Japan is Tales of Innocence R. Also mentioned in the mag is confirmation that Gravity Daze, coming from Silent Hill and Siren creator Keiichirō Toyama, will release in February.

Gravity Daze gets new videos from Tokyo

Two videos of Gravity Daze have appeared online from Tokyo Game Show this morning. The first is a playthrough of the game by Siren creator and ex-Silent Hill boss Keiichiro Toyama, while the second video is the trailer for the game at the show. We’ve had a proper eye on this since we seen it for the first time at the Vita unveil in January. We think we might like this.
