UMvC glitches go monochrome, reverse controls
Shoryuken has posted a tutorial showing off how to trigger a couple of interesting bugs in UMvC. By combining Morrigan and Strider’s abilities, you can end up with one character alone on screen, turned 90 degrees to face the camera. Fiddle a bit more, and you can make the screen go black, and finally, your characters will be transported to what’s being called Reverse World – all controls backwards, animations on the wrong side, and a snowy-white environment. The glitch reportedly works only on the Xbox 360 version, with the PlayStation 3 just throwing a wobbly.
Hit the break to see it in action.

PC Shadow Broker DLC breaks, BioWare rides to the rescue

Most villains escape from imminent capture/death with hidden jetpacks, trap doors, or smoke screens that – unlike their real-life counterparts – somehow enable teleportation.
But those guys have nothing on the Shadow Broker. His big, bad Deus Ex Machina basically breaks the world.

Gearbox issues speedy fix for PS3 Borderlands glitch

Now you see it; now you don’t. About one blink of the eye ago, PS3 Borderlands players were reporting issues with seeing their online friends while, er, online. Now, though, the game’s as good as new.
“We are very pleased to report that using PSN friends lists with the game should now work properly for all PS3 customers. The fix has been released invisibly and should work automatically for all PSN users on the PS3 platform,” Gearbox’s Steve Gibson told Joystiq.
“No special action is required by PS3 customers to apply the fix – just play the game and you’ll find that everything works fine now. We thank you all for your patience and for making us aware of the issue!”
So there you go.

PS3 Trophy error pops up, Sony to hammer it down – eventually
According to a CVG report, PS3 Trophies’ ability to, er, do nothing in particular has run into a potentially shelf-smashing error. Apparently, after PSN users alter their PSN ID or password, Trophy data can become “corrupt.”
Should that happen, certain games will then notify players that Trophy data has failed to sync – sometimes leading to a series of looping “quit and try again” messages.
Titles like Burnout Paradise, LittleBigPlanet, Pain, and WipEout HD have fallen victim to the Trophy-gobbling glitch since October, but the recently released 2.53 firmware update failed to sweep the bug under the rug.
Fortunately, Sony community guy “MusterBuster” claimed that, “A fix is on the way, but I don’t have an ETA yet”.
If your e-life absolutely depends on a healthy, bustling Trophy case, click through the link for a “quick” fix. (Hint: it’s not quick.)
Otherwise, just remember that waiting builds character or whatever. So don’t worry; Sony’s got your back.
