Man plans Gizmondo movie

Good grief. According to this Hollywood Reporter story, producer Beau Flyn has optioned a 2006 Wired article on the spectacular rise and fall of Gizmondo with the intention of making a movie.
The article, obviously, focuses on “colourful” Swedish character Bo Stefan Eriksson. He’s the guy that headed up the ridiculous handheld, the one that totalled an Enzo at 160mph in Malibu and has been in and out of US and Swedish jails for such niceties as embezzlement and kidnapping.
More through there. Thanks, Kotaku.

Gizmondo relaunch delayed
Good grief. The relaunch of hapless handheld Gizmondo’s been delayed.
Originally planned to release this month, apparently the global downturn’s left the device without investors. We cannot think why.
The machine isn’t going to be a gaming-only venture any more. No sir. It’s now going to be a phone hybrid thing. Because the world needs more of those.
Thanks, Kotaku.

New Gizmondo seen, hitting before year-end
Good Lord. Rich Jenkins, CEO of Media Power, has shown the updated Gizmondo to journalist Hans Sandberg, confirming the presence of a new, Nvidia-supplied graphics chip and a choice of either Windows CE or new Google OS, Android.
Apparently it’s going to be out before the end of the year, and is to be pushed from mid-October onwards via a “really cool website.”
Look through the link. We’re not lying. No price yet. Thanks, Engadget.

Gizmondo relaunch already delayed
Like, seriously. According to this, Carl Freer’s plans to resurrect comedy handheld Gizmondo have already fallen foul of a delay. Freer initially said that we were going to see the machine back in circulation in May, but has now admitted he was being optimistic, and that he’s aiming for the end of the year instead.
Dude, this isn’t even funny. Just don’t, OK?
