New York Comic Con – All the previews

New York Comic Con’s now well under way, and a bunch of big-name hands-ons got posted overnight. You may want to read them.
You are, therefore, in luck. Sorry, we’re just writing words for the sake of it.
Looks as though plenty of that’s been done already:

Ghostbusters on Wii – 10 minutes of video
It’s Ghostbusters, but it’s not the same as the “next gen” versions, says Mr Red Fly in this ten-minute video of the Wii SKU on GameReactor.
It’s more cartoony than the 360 and PS3 versions, for sure, and was built “from the ground up” for Wii, we’re assured.
It’s out at the end of next year. Thanks, NintendoEverything.

New Ghostbusters trailer isn’t frightening, is good
Shacknews has posted up a new movie of Terminal Reality’s Ghostbusters, and very smart it looks too.
The trailer comes on the back of the announcement of a June 2009 release date for the game yesterday.
Have a nose. It’s all about dead things. Which, ironically, is pretty much the same as today’s news.

“Ghostbusters will be published,” says Randel
In wake of the recent news that Ghostbusters: The Videogame has been put out to tender, Terminal Reality boss Mark Randel told videogaming247 today that the game will be published.
“Ghostbusters will be published,” said Randel. “That’s all I can say at the moment.”
Ghostbusters wasn’t the only Sierra casualty of the Activision Blizzard merger, with 50 Cent, World in Conflict and BrĂ¼tal Legend all having to find new publishers as a result of the deal.

IGN: Ghostbusters: The Video Game “has the pieces in place to become a solid affair”
IGN has what we’re pretty sure is the the first hands-on of Sierra’s Ghostbusters: The Video Game, and it seems the site was suitably impressed.
“Although it’s way too early to sit here and give you the final word on Ghostbusters, I can tell you that it seems like it has the pieces in place to become a solid affair,” says the article.
“The environments are detailed, living places that change as you blast them apart; the Ghostbusters themselves and their equipment looks really good; the dialogue is funny and fitting for the franchise; and the gameplay feels solid.”

New Ghostbusters footage posted
After the link. See associate producer Ryan French walk you through Sierra’s Ghostbusters: The Video Game, revealing how you get cash for upgrades for every ghost you capture but conversely get billed by the city for all the damage you cause.
Loads more after the break. Looking good we think.
